arts & entertainment
From novice to advanced, artists of all abilities are invited to exercise their creativity by enrolling in VBMA’s summer art classes. The first round of five-week offerings begins June 1, 2026, with the second session of select five-week classes kicking off the week of July 6.
Summer term features a variety of mediums and topics to choose from including sessions in art history focused on art’s connection to gardens and nature inspired by the summer exhibition James Prosek: At Work opening July 11. Clay Creations will explore the world of sculpting without firing, and painting classes will include instruction and practice on still life and abstracts. Also on the summer course list is a series of contemplative arts offerings to include Qigong and Chair Yoga.
The VBMA summer class schedule runs from June 1 through August 8, 2026.
