The United Way of Indian River County is proud to host the 40th Annual Citrus Golf Tournament on Monday, May 18, 2026, at the Vero Beach Country Club. This milestone event marks four decades of community impact, bringing together golfers, businesses, and supporters for a day of camaraderie, competition, and giving back.
Registration will begin at 8:00 AM, with a shotgun start at 9:00 AM. The tournament will feature 18 holes of golf, on-course games, breakfast, and a post-event awards luncheon. Participants will also have the opportunity to win exciting raffle prizes throughout the day.
For 40 years, the Citrus Golf Tournament has served as a cornerstone fundraising event for United Way of Indian River County, supporting programs that strengthen the community through initiatives in health, education, and financial stability. Proceeds from the tournament help ensure critical resources remain available to individuals and families across Indian River County.
“This 40th anniversary is a testament to the enduring generosity and spirit of our community,” said Meredith Egan, CEO of United Way. “What started as a local golf outing has grown into a powerful tradition that brings people together year after year to make a lasting difference. We are incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone and grateful to everyone who has helped make it possible.”
Registration is now open for teams of four at UnitedWayIRC.org/events/citrus-golf-tournament/. The cost per foursome is $800, and sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses looking to support the cause while gaining valuable community visibility.
United Way of Indian River County extends its sincere gratitude to our Gold Sponsors, Bernard A. Egan Foundation, The Hill Group, Publix Super Markets, and Soprema, for their generous support and commitment to making a lasting impact on our community.
For those unable to participate in the tournament, raffle prize donations are also welcomed. These contributions enhance the participants’ experience while further supporting United Way’s work.
Given the popularity of the event, early registration is strongly encouraged. For more information or to reserve a spot, visit UnitedWayIRC.org or contact Sydney Mihailoff at (772) 567-8900, ext. 117 or Sydney.Mihailoff@UnitedWayIRC.org.
The Citrus Golf Tournament stands as a celebration of what can be accomplished when a community comes together. As United Way marks this 40-year milestone, the event continues to drive meaningful change and build a stronger future for all who call Indian River County home.
