Join VBMA docents for an in-depth focus on select artworks from special exhibitions and the permanent collection. Docents will meet registered participants at Visitor Services and then head to the galleries for 45-60 minutes of careful viewing and discussion. Free for VBMA Members; $12 per nonmember (includes admission to the galleries).
Art of the Cocktail—Friday, October 2
Chromatic Shift / 6:30 p.m.
Drawing inspiration from the Jill Nathanson: Chromatic Phrases exhibition, guests will immerse themselves in the theme of the evening through a lively docent-guided tour, then create a carefully selected cocktail with an expert mixologist.
Abstract Painting: Past, Present, and Personal with Jill Nathanson—Saturday, October 17
10 a.m.–2 p.m.
Offered in conjunction with Jill Nathanson: Chromatic Phrases on view at the Vero Beach Museum of Art, this workshop invites participants to explore abstraction through color, composition, and personal expression. Through studies focused on color mixing, color relationships, movement within the picture plane, and pictorial organization, students consider how abstract paintings create visual and emotional resonance. The recommended supply list will be provided to registrants. $200 for Members; $235 per nonmember.
Artist Walkthrough—Saturday, October 17
3 p.m.
Join artist Jill Nathanson for an engaging walkthrough of her current exhibition, Chromatic Phrases. Nathanson will share firsthand insights into her creative process and studio practices, offering a deeper look at the evolution of her layered works and how she brings them to life. Free for VBMA Members; $12 per nonmember (includes admission to the galleries).
