The Vero Beach Museum of Art is pleased to announce the 2026-2027 Film Studies Program led by instructor Diane Thelen. The courses offer exploration of cinematic themes, blending classic and contemporary films designed to educate, enlighten, and entertain.

This year’s Film Studies Program offers three thoughtfully curated series, each five weeks long.

Film Studies 1: October 13–November 10, 2026

All Creatures Great and Small: Animal Friends and Their Human Connections

Film Studies 2: November 17–December 15, 2026

Latin Vibes: Thought-Provoking Tales from the Southern Hemisphere

Film Studies 3: January 5–February 2, 2027

Please Rewind: Revisiting Memorable Films from Past Seasons

The program may be viewed in the Leonhardt Auditorium or streamed from the comfort of your home. In-house attendees are invited to participate in a brief, optional “talk-back” session following the screening, which provides an opportunity to share thoughts and questions with classmates and the instructor.

Courses are held on Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m. Tuition is $80 per person per series for VBMA Members and $96 per person per series for nonmembers.
