Heroes of the Silver Screen concert

arts & entertainment

Some music resonates because it reflects a timeless belief that people are capable of becoming more than they ever imagined. Aaron Collins will affirm that belief when the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra presents heroic movie scores with clips on screen—alongside cinematic new music during Heroes of the Silver Screen on Sunday, October 25 at 3:00 PM. The Emerson Center, at 1590 27th Avenue in Vero Beach will host the concert of epic scores along with three world premieres.

The audience will recognize John Williams’ Jurassic Park Suite and composition for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Other favorites from the silver screen include, “Gonna Fly Now” from Rocky, music from How to Train Your Dragon and Silvestri’s Back to the Future and The Avengers (main theme). Premiering in suite form are three Imagined Adventures by Kevin Wilt, as well as Farhad Poupel’s Childhood Memories (Persian Suite) and Overture for a Tragic Hero. $35 tickets for Heroes of the Silver Screen are available through the orchestra website at www.SpaceCoastSymphony.org or at Marine Bank & Trust branches. Tickets at the door are $40.
