VNA welcomes major and planned giving officer

The Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of the Treasure Coast welcomes Patricia Knipper as its major and planned giving officer. Knipper joins the VNA & Hospice Foundation with nearly two decades of corporate and donor-focused fundraising, strategic marketing and business development experience in the healthcare industry. 

“The commitment of donors passionate about the programs and services provided every day by the Visiting Nurse Association to ensure a patient-focused, solution-oriented approach to healthcare is exemplary,” said Kerry A. Bartlett, CFRE, Vice President of the VNA and Hospice Foundation. “The Foundation was seeking a professional with experience building, cultivating and stewarding these partnerships and collaborations as a critical priority. Pat Knipper’s role is to understand what is important to the Foundation’s donors and help them realize their philanthropic dreams.”

Knipper is the founder of SME Strategic Consulting, Inc. where she provided guidance to non-profit groups and healthcare organizations for strategic planning, market research and board development. Her prior experience includes, serving as an executive director in cardiology administration at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai City and the executive director for the Heart Valve Center at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. She was a senior vice president for the Cardiovascular Research Foundation and raised more than $40 million in educational grants to support medical education and research initiatives. 

The VNA is the only non-profit home care and hospice organization in Indian River County. The VNA & Hospice Foundation is the philanthropic branch of the VNA.
