Cultural Council networking event to be held March 12 in Sebastian


Greg Reiter to perform at Cultural Council’s Sebastian networking event.

The Coral Mermaid Gallery in Sebastian is gearing up to host the Art of Networking, a Cultural Council of Indian River County event on March 12.  Local flamenco guitarist sensation Greg Reiter will be the special musical guest at the event, scheduled to run from 5 to 7 pm, with members receiving a complimentary admission and non-members paying a $5 cover charge.  This networking event is part of the Cultural Council’s quarterly Art of Networking forays which give members and guests the opportunity to network in a “happy hour atmosphere.”

Greg Reiter, a Berklee Music College Grad and BMI artist, is one of the leading American flamenco-fusion guitarists. In 2009, his album Sedona Sun won both the Phoenix and LA Music Awards in the instrumental music category. In 2010, he released his fourth album, Flamenco Fusion, from which his version of Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game” has already garnered more than 300,000 plays on YouTube alone.

With a mission to “promote the cultural arts in Indian River County through education, collaboration, marketing and advocacy,” the Cultural Council of Indian River County provides avenues for nonprofit and artist networking, information-sharing and collaboration while providing technical assistance and professional development on nonprofit management issues.
