The Indian River County Department of Utility Services (IRCDUS) is hosting a series of free public workshops throughout September to introduce the IRC Sewer Conversion Countywide Project and help residents understand upcoming sewer connection requirements, available financial assistance, and the benefits of connecting to centralized sewer service. The project focuses on areas within Indian River County where centralized sewer service is currently available.

Residents are encouraged to attend the workshop that best fits their schedule. Each meeting will include a presentation followed by a question-and-answer session with County staff and project representatives.

Connecting to centralized sewer service helps protect the Indian River Lagoon by reducing nutrient pollution, safeguards groundwater and drinking water resources, eliminates septic tank maintenance, and reduces the risk of costly septic system repairs or replacement.
