Environmental Learning Center offers Family Fishing Day Aug. 29 at 8:00 a.m. Led by Wabasso School of Fishing this is a free, hands-on fishing program that introduces young anglers to the joys of fishing while encouraging a lifelong appreciation for Florida’s waterways. Registration suggested as space is limited for each session.
Environmental Learning Center offers Dolphin Drift: SUP Yoga on Aug. 29 9:30 a.m. This is a 60-minute yin-inspired yoga class on stand-up paddleboards, perfect for beginners and those looking to unwind on the water. No paddleboarding or yoga experience is necessary.
Environmental Learning Center offers a Sound Bath Aug. 30 at 2:00 p.m. Join Micaela Deegan and step into a moment where the outside world softens, inviting your whole system into calm presence. You’ll be gently held in soothing soundscapes designed to restore balance to the mind, body, and nervous system.
Vero Beach Museum of Art offers Museum Babies & Museum Toddlers Sept. 1, 9:30 a.m. First Tuesdays of the month. Babies and their caregivers join in art viewing, sensory experiences, and playful learning in the galleries. The program takes place in the museum’s galleries and include an art activity. Space is limited; preregistration required
Vero Beach Museum of Art offers Museum Stories at VBMA Sept. 2 at 9:30 a.m. Every Wednesday at the VBMA unless closed for holiday. A theme-based, participatory program for babies, toddlers, and their caregivers that includes reading books, singing songs, dancing, and creating art together. Museum Stories takes place in the VBMA’s Art Zone. 9:30-10:30 a.m. (0-24 months) and 10:30-11:30 a.m. (2-4 years).
North Indian River County Library presents a Movie Screening Sept. 3 at 1:30 p.m. This is a free screening of the 1957 musical comedy THE PAJAMA GAME starring Doris Day. Drawing inspiration from the James Prosek: At Work exhibition, guests will immerse themselves in the theme of the evening through a lively docent-guided tour, then create a carefully selected cocktail with an expert mixologist. This exhibition celebrates the significant projects that define the artist’s first 30 years of art making. This comprehensive survey presents the remarkable breadth of his practice, from on-the-spot field studies to studio work in painting, watercolor, and sculpture.

Vero Beach Museum of Art presents Jill Nathanson: Chromatic Phrases in Schumann and Titelman galleries. This exhibition presents recent work by Jill Nathanson, whose abstract paintings are shaped through a deliberate process that balances spontaneity with a predetermined structure. In her work, color does not remain fixed or purely descriptive but instead suggests movement as it is shaped by the interaction of light and perception. Exhibit continues to Feb. 7, 2027.
