On April 19th, the membership of Impact 100 voted at their Annual Meeting to select the winners of this year’s awards. Since this year’s membership consists of 439 members, four $100,000 Impact Grants will be awarded, with the remaining $39,000 divided evenly among the three Merit Grant winners. Each year, Impact 100 awards every dollar of membership funds in grants to Indian River County nonprofits.
With today’s awards, Impact 100 will have donated more than $3.3 million dollars to non-profits in Indian River County over the last nine years.
The four winners of the 2017 Impact Grants are:
- Alzheimer and Parkinson Association of IRC
Dementia Friendly Community Initiative
- Childcare Resources of Indian River
Credentialing Program for Early Educators (CPEE)
- Hibiscus Children’s Center
Helping Children through Careers (HCC) Graphic Design and Impact Center
- Ocean Research & Conservation Association (ORCA)
The Living Lagoon Project
In addition, the following three nonprofits are Merit Award winners each receiving $13,000.
- Ballet Vero Beach
- Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition
- Tykes & Teens
“The quality of the grants we received this year is a reflection of the dedication of the nonprofits to improve the lives of those who live in Indian River County,” says Grant Chair, Wanda Lincoln. Also, this year over sixty Grant Panel Volunteers worked tirelessly to review each of the submitted grants, to conduct site visits and to present the very best grants to our membership.”

About Impact 100: We are women who collectively impact the lives of individuals and our community through transformational grants. Each member contributes $1000 and gets one vote. $100,000 grants are given to the winners selected at the annual membership meeting after a comprehensive grant application and vetting process is completed. As of 2017, Impact 100 of Indian River County has given out over $3.3 million to local area non-profits to transform the lives of the residents of Indian River County.
