Indian River County, effective March 17, 2020 at 8:00 a.m., has declared a local state of emergency. This is only an administrative measure to allow for additional purchasing capability as needed and to allow for certain orders going forward if deemed necessary.
County offices and facilities are open and observing regularly scheduled hours. The local state of emergency does not impact voting in today’s election and polling places are observing their usual hours. The Supervisor of Elections is taking extraordinary steps to keep polling places clean to prevent transmission of viruses.
