Vero Beach Regional Airport Director, Ericson W. Menger, will be retiring effective June 26, 2020.
Menger has been the director of the Vero Beach Airport since 1996. A 58-year resident of Indian River County, he is a 1977 graduate of Vero Beach High School. In 1981, he graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy, served as a naval officer for over 26 years on active and reserve duty, and retired from the Navy with the rank of Captain (O-6). He is active in community events, serves on the board of several organizations, and currently leads a team of 12 at the Airport.
“After 29 years with the City, 24 years as the Airport Director, I have decided to spend more time with my six grandchildren, five of whom live in other states,” said Menger. “Leading our amazing team of dedicated employees at the Airport has been the greatest joy of my professional career. I’m proud of our many accomplishments and am looking forward to watching the Airport continue to thrive.”
