McKee Botanical Garden announces it will join museums nationwide in participating in the Blue Star Museums Program. This program provides free admission to our nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families this summer. The 2021 program launched on Saturday, May 15, 2021, Armed Forces Day, and will end on Sunday, September 5, 2021. Military can find the list of participating museums at arts.gov/bluestarmuseums.
Blue Star Museums is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in collaboration with Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 2,000 museums nationwide.
“McKee Botanical Garden is proud to participate in the 2021 Blue Star Museums program. While we provide a discounted rate for all Veteran’s year-round in appreciation of their service and sacrifice, we feel it is also important to thank the active-duty military and their families for their service to our country,” stated Christine Hobart.
