The Indian River County Parks & Recreation Department received notice from the State Office of the Special Olympics that the swim meet has been canceled due to Hurricane Ian.  It was a difficult decision but with travelers coming from areas throughout Florida it was decided that all parties would best be served to focus on storm preparations and evacuations. 

Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts this event will not be re-scheduled.  “We look forward to being available to host this event and others at our facility in the future and will continue to work with the Special Olympics staff to bring future events to Indian River County,” said Dave Smith, Aquatics Manager.
