The Sunrise Rotary Dominican Dental Team is looking forward to their fourth annual dental service trip to the Dominican Republic. The Sunrise Rotary Club and the Vero Beach Rotary Club have supported the project since its inception. This year Dr Rick Root, Vero Beach dentist and project chair, is excited to have Treasure Coast Community Health, a local non-profit serving the dental and Medical needs of the community, as an additional partner. TCCH is sending down two dentists, Two dental assistants, and a dental hygienist to help with this year’s project.

The Dental Team will be working in La Colorada, Dominican Republic. This is a poverty-ridden area with no drinking water, no electricity, and an average income of $80 per month. The group will treat over 200 patients providing over $60,000 worth of dental treatment at no charge to the patient or their families.

Everyone on the team is looking forward to another rewarding experience helping those in need!
