The  J.M. Stringer Gallery is excited to present their annual holiday group exhibition, ‘Tis the Season. This year’s featured artists are Alan Fetterman (at left) and E.J. Paprocki. In refreshingly unique ways, both artists capture their surroundings and subjects with energetic brushwork and dynamic paint movement. The receptions will be held on Thursday, November 29 (4 – 8 pm); Friday, November 30 (11 am – 6 pm) and Saturday from 11 am to 8:30 pm a demonstration by E.J. Paprocki will be on Friday at 1 pm.  Enjoy festive libations and fare, lots of cheer, and grab a ringside seat to the Christmas Parade!

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 30

Have some fun at Downtown Friday with Main Street Vero Beach on November 30 from 6 to 9 pm on 14th Avenue & 21 Street.  There will be live music, demonstrations during band breaks, street vendors, and food vendors. Downtown Friday is a popular venue for The Historic Downtown District of Vero Beach, FL. This event is FREE to attend and is family and dog friendly.

The Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting Light Up Night on Friday, November 30 from 5:30 to 8:00 pm.  Kick-off the holidays with participating businesses in Sebastian and Roseland. SATURDAY  DECEMBER 1

The First Presbyterian Church  is hosting Christmas Tree Lane on Saturday, December 1 from 9 am to 2 pm.  The whole family will enjoy this grand Holiday Bazaar & Cookie Sale, featuring the Unique Boutique with nearly-new & new items at bargain prices; Artisans’ Gallery; Quilting, Sewing & Crafts hand-mades; Cookies-by-the-Pound; and Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen. On Saturday, December 1, from 11 am to 4 pm, “Artisans at the Mall” will be held at the Indian River Mall.  In addition to great holiday shopping, meet & take pictures with H.A.L.O.’s mascot “Stewie” from 2 to 4 pm, pose for a family portrait with professional photographer Michael J. from Noon to 3 pm and enjoy light refreshments from 3 to 4 pm, with hourly giveaways. There will be spectacular raffle items and lucky ducks to be found!

The Oceanside Business Association hosts the annual Christmas Parade Saturday, December 1 at 6:00 on Ocean Drive at Flamevine and proceed to Live Oak along Ocean Drive. The fourth annual Candy Cane Race will kick off at 5:15 prior to the start of the parade.

The Vero Beach Elks Lodge, 2650 26th Street, is having its annual Toys for Tots dinner/dance on Saturday, December 1 beginning with cocktails 5:30 followed by dinner at 6:30. Enjoy ham, scalloped potatoes, vegetables salad and dessert for $15. Celtic Knights.

The Celtic Angels Christmas Concert will be held on Saturday, December 1 at 7 pm at the Emerson Center.  This awe-inspiring show encompasses vocal and instrumental seasonal favorites, and Irish contemporary and original Christmas themes with a Celtic twist, along with spectacular world-class champion Irish dancing. SUNDAY, DECEMBER 2

The Vero Beach Museum of Art is hosting Holidays at the Museum on Sunday, December 2 from 1 to 4 pm.  This free event is for the whole family! Enjoy entertainment and performances by local groups and participate in art-making activities in the studios. Refreshments will be available.

The 2018-2019 Concert Series presented by First Presbyterian Church will feature a performance by soprano vocalist Elena Mindlina on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at 4:00pm. The program for this concert will include music by Rachmaninov, Sviridov, Fauré, Hahn, Lee Hoiby, and Gershwin. The church is located at 520 Royal Palm Boulevard in Vero Beach. Admission is free to the community and a $10 donation is suggested.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 4

The Cultural Council of Indian River County is having its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, December 4 at 5 pm at the Heritage Center, 2140 14th Avenue in Vero Beach.  Learn about the Cultural Council’s activities and meet members and supporters.  Free.

Tea Up.

Ballet Vero Beach presents Tea Up for the Nutcracker on Saturday, December 8 at Oak Harbor Club beginning at Noon.   Decked out for the holiday season, Oak Harbor Club opens its doors for a festive day of fun to celebrate Nutcracker on the Indian River.  A full afternoon of activities are planned to provide a spectacular experience for all ages!  Activities include: Nutcracker Fashion Show and Seated Lunch, Fun Zone with miniature golf, cookie decorating, and visits with Santa and Nutcracker Characters and Curated silent auction, Leigh Jewelers “Diamonds by the Yard” necklace drawing, and gourmet dessert buffet Tickets are $75 for adults, $50 for Children ages 13-20, and $25 for kids 12 and under.
