County Health Department opens COVID-19 testing site at IG Center

news release

The Florida Department of Health In Indian River County, in partnership with the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners, will open a COVID-19 drive-thru testing site at the Intergenerational (iG) Recreation Center. The tests are no cost to patients and appointments are not required. The drive-thru testing site will be available beginning Friday, September 24, from 9 am to 5 pm Wednesday through Sunday.
“Curative is proud to be launching a testing site for the Indian River County community and be a crucial resource during this pandemic,” said Fred Turner, CEO and co-founder of Curative. “Curative’s goal is to make testing more accessible with our easy drive-thru site. We offer a simple testing option with quick 24-48 hour results upon receipt at our labs delivered directly and at no cost to patients.”
Self-collected, shallow nasal PCR tests will be available for patients at this site. Test results are delivered electronically within 24-48 hours upon receipt of the sample at the lab.
The iG Center is located at 1590 9th Street SW, Vero Beach, FL 32962. Individuals who would like to receive a COVID-19 test should bring a form of identification (driver’s license, passport, etc.) and wear a facemask.
