The United Way of Indian River County gathered together on October 25th at Oak Harbor of Vero Beach for the annual United Way Community Leaders Breakfast. This breakfast was to recognize those in our community doing exceptional things to advance the common good.
Dr. Robert Brugnoli, Executive Director of the Mental Health Association of Indian River County was presented with The United Way Agency Excellence Award, along with the MHA Board Member Ross Cotherman. The Agency Excellence Award is presented to an agency who demonstrates excellence in achieving measurable results and who has made an impact on the community through their reach and vision. This award recognizes a funded partner of the United Way of Indian River County who has demonstrated excellence in the following three areas: Programmatic & Administrative Excellence, Community Collaboration & Outreach, and Unity Way Support.
As Jeff Smith, United Way of IRC Board Chair-elect delivered the award, he said “The agency receiving the 2017 award has made a tremendous impact on this community, especially in the last five years. It provides a tremendous and much-needed service to this community by an impressive professional staff, a strong and effective board, and outstanding leadership.
