The Junior League of Indian River is hosting its first annual Feasting on 14th Avenue, a “tasting tour through town” fundraising event on Thursday, November 14th  at 6 pm. This event will feature a 4-course dinner taking place at 4 restaurants downtown: Southern Social, Jake’s Tex Mex, and Sean Ryan Pub, ending with dessert at American Icon Brewery. The event will be broken up into three groups of twenty-five people, and each group will experience the same menu at each location, but in a different order. Advance tickets are available for purchase for $50 online at www.jlir.org and via Eventbrite.

Ticket purchase includes food at all four restaurant locations. Attendees can also enjoy a chance to bid on raffle prizes at American Icon Brewery. All proceeds from Feasting on 14th Avenue will support the Junior League of Indian River’s ongoing local initiatives like Operation Prom and community impact projects held throughout the year.

“The goal for this community-oriented event is to partner with local restaurants and show support for one another while raising funds to continue our work in the community,” said Susan Aguirre, Junior League Board Member. “In essence, we are having a “tasting tour through town”, and we invite all community members to come together for this worthy cause.”

The Junior League is a women-led volunteer organization made up of astute business, community and family leaders who are poised and passionate about everything they do. The organization provides a forum that brings like-minds together and serves multiple functions.
