PERFORMANCES & EVENTS
Art in Public Places: Exhibit is sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County. The Cultural Council’s AIPP Program, in partner with Vero Beach Regional Airport in the Passenger Lounge waiting area.
Art For Art’s Sake – Art in Social Isolation. During this period of Social Distancing caused by the pandemic, the Cultural Council initiated a project as an attempt to see how creative individuals in the area responded to it. It has been almost 6 months since ART FOR ARTS SAKE’s inception…and we have been continually receiving wonderful images of work created by area Artists. Memories of places near and far…happy times spent with family and friends…pride and patriotism of Country…these are several of the themes that are resonating at this time. We have finally been able to install a new exhibit at one of the Art in Public Places venues: the Passenger Lounge at the Vero Beach Municipal Airport. 24 images, chosen by a panel, hang throughout the Waiting Room, allowing departing or arriving passengers the opportunity to view colorful work by some of the areas many talented Artists. Running September 9 through January 1, 2021
